Description
- Luteal phase is the second phase of the ovarian cycle which corresponds with days 14-28 of the menstrual cycle. It is characterized by the transformation of granulosa and theca cells into luteal cells under the influence of progesterone
- A luteal phase defect is a condition that affects a woman’s ovulation cycle and makes it difficult to experience a healthy pregnancy. LPD, characterized by low progesterone levels and limited uterine lining growth, undermines egg implantation and foetal development
