• When a person has symptoms of Hyperthyroidism
• When there is suspicion of Graves disease or Thyroiditis
• Prior to Surgical removal of Thyroid Gland for Cancer and also after completion of treatment to determine
• whether any cancerous residual thyroid tissue may be left behind

Elevated Level

• In patients with Thyroid carcinoma
• Moderate to very high thyroglobulin levels are seen in many thyro normal patients also.
• In patients with metastases of Thyroid cancer
