Clinical significance
- White blood cells are usually present in traces in semen. It is normally present in human reproductive tract and is seen in every human ejaculate. High values of leukocytes is termed as Leukospermia
When to get tested
- A semen analysis is done when infertility (pregnancy fails to occur within one year of regular unprotected intercourse) is suspected
